Product Designer

Singapore | Contract

Role overview

We are looking for a product designer who doesn't just craft beautiful interfaces, but someone who thinks in systems, designs with empathy, and brings clarity to complexity. As the digital landscape evolves at pace, especially with the rise of AI-native products, we need a designer who is as comfortable with ambiguity as they are with a component library or design system.

As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will lead and contribute to end-to-end product design engagements — from discovery to delivery — working alongside strategists, engineers, and client stakeholders to create meaningful, usable, and scalable experiences.

You will be embedded across client engagements and internal initiatives, taking ownership of design outcomes and contributing to the growth of our design practice. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, systems thinking, and craft.

What you'll do

Discovery & Research

  • Lead and support design research activities — workshops, user interviews, contextual inquiry, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Translate research insights into clear problem definitions, opportunity maps, and design principles
  • Facilitate co-creation sessions with clients and cross-functional teams

Design & Execution

  • Own end-to-end product design — from user flows and wireframes through to high-fidelity UI and interactive prototypes
  • Design for complex, data-dense enterprise environments including dashboards, workflow tools, and B2B platforms
  • Apply and extend design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across products
  • Design for or alongside AI — including conversational interfaces, AI-assisted workflows, generative UI patterns, and responsible AI transparency
  • Produce and maintain design documentation including annotations, handoff specs, and component guidelines

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders in agile delivery environments
  • Articulate and defend design rationale clearly, both visually and verbally
  • Contribute to client presentations and design reviews with confidence

Design Practice

  • Mentor junior designers and participate in design critiques
  • Stay current with emerging tools, methods, and trends — especially in AI-augmented design and enterprise UX

We're looking for

A versatile designer with strong instincts and the ability to navigate complexity; someone who brings both structure and creativity to their work.

  • Deeply curious about people — you design with empathy and validate with evidence
  • Systems-minded— you think in components, patterns, and scalable structures, not just individual screens
  • Fluent in the language of AI — you understand how AI capabilities shape user expectations and interaction models, and you design accordingly
  • A strong visual communicator — your work is polished, intentional, and well-reasoned
  • Commercially aware — you connect design decisions to business outcomes and client goals
  • Collaborative by nature — you thrive in cross-functional teams and value diverse perspectives
  • Adaptable— you move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • An effective communicator and an empathic listener — in client conversations, workshops, and team settings alike
  • Versatile— you can adapt your design skills accordingly for B2C, B2B and Enterprise products

Core design skills needed

  • End-to-end product design — user flows, wireframing, high-fidelity UI, and interactive prototyping
  • Design systems — building, scaling, governing, and contributing to component libraries and design tokens
  • Research and synthesis — user interviews, contextual inquiry, workshops, usability testing, and insight mapping
  • Interaction design — strong grasp of micro-interactions, motion principles, and behavioural patterns
  • Accessibility— working knowledge of WCAG standards and inclusive design practices
  • Responsive and adaptive design across web and mobile platforms
  • Proficient in Figma (including auto-layout, variables, variants, and component architecture); familiarity with prototyping and handoff workflows
  • Proficient with other tools such as FigJam, Maze, Miro, Jira,  Confluence, Microsoft 365,Adobe creative suite
  • Familiarity with complementary tools such Storybook, Zeroheight, Webflow, User testing, and Protopie
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g. Lovable, Figma Make, Magic Patterns,  Claude, Midjourney, Flora AI or Weavy) is a strong plus as we continue to integrate AI into design practice and delivery.

Domain & Context

  • Enterprise and B2B design — complex workflows, data-dense interfaces, and multi-role user journeys
  • Designing for or alongside AI — conversational interfaces, AI-assisted workflows, generative UI patterns, trust and transparency design
  • Financial services literacy — understanding of B2B and institutional product contexts is a plus

Collaboration & Communication

  • Ability to clearly articulate and defend design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable facilitating co-creation sessions, design critiques, and client workshops
  • Experienced working in agile, cross-functional delivery teams
  • Ability to work in agile environments and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

You'll do well if

You have:

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in product design or UX/UI design
  • Background in a consultancy, design agency, or in-house product team
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of end-to-end product design work, ideally including enterprise or B2B projects
  • Proven, hands-on experience with design systems in a professional setting
  • Tertiary qualification in product design, interaction design, HCI, or a related discipline
  • Experience in financial services — particularly in B2B, enterprise, or institutional contexts (e.g. wealth management, banking, insurance, fintech)
  • Experience in public sector products
  • Exposure to service design or design strategy methodologies
  • Experience with design tokens, multi-brand design systems, or cross-platform design consistency
  • Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML/CSS/React) — enough to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Experience using or designing for AI tools such as large language model interfaces, copilots, or AI-enhanced dashboards
  • Demonstrated experience or strong working knowledge of designing for or with AI — including prompt UIs, AI-generated content experiences, trust and transparency patterns, or AI-assisted workflows
