Lives for the details that shape user behaviour — the clicks, the confusion, the quiet delight. Exceptional with interfaces and inventive in how she elevates them.
Hui Qi’s story
Hui Qi's the kind of designer who spots the tiny shifts that change how a person clicks, hesitates, or glides through a flow.
She’s applied that lens across a wide mix of work: aligning cross-functional teams in an esports company through clear flows and prototypes, bringing the “Love Our ’Hood” initiative to life through both digital and physical design, refreshing the ION Orchard site with a sharper user-centred touch, and leading the end-to-end revamp of the CapitaStar app.
She enjoys exploring the interaction between design and human behaviour, and wielding the power of pixels to make experiences feel seamless.
Her other fixation: boba.
Standout chapters
Favourite part of her job as an ice cream flavour Â
Tiramisu. Layers that only work when each one pulls its weight. Bold choices, smooth interfaces, and that final dusting of detail that makes everything feel just right.
On what keeps her curious
She’s drawn to the small details that reshape behaviour: a button moved, a label rewritten, a gap widened. The tiny tweaks that change everything are what keep her exploring.
