Versatile and unnervingly at ease with ambiguity. Give her a one-line brief and she’ll connect the dots.

Melissa’s story

Melissa brings order to what others find overwhelming, by understanding how the pieces connect.

Her path over 12+ years has been anything but linear: from genomics to design thinking, public relations, to product management. Each chapter gave her a different language to work with — scientific, creative, commercial, and technical  — and that range is exactly what makes her effective at PSYKHE.

At PSYKHE, she helped co-design the AI by Design programme and now champions its strategic direction and ongoing evolution.

Her delights: minimalism, organisational structures, objects arranged in perfect colour gradients, and neatly-folded clothes.

Standout chapters
  • PSYKHE. Co-shaped PSYKHE’s flagship AI initiative, AI by Design, now steering its GTM and mobilisation.
  • Prudential. Created a UX writing guide that became a central reference; supported documentation, user flows, and user stories across two streams of Prudential’s agent-facing app.
  • HECTADATA. Transformed an idea for an AI-powered legal tech platform into a roadmap built on what’s feasible, viable, and desirable.
  • HECTADATA. Mobilised the delivery of a gold investment platform for a newly formed co-operative, leading discovery and requirements gathering.
Genovasi Malaysia. Delivered 100+ hours of design thinking facilitation for public and private sector teams.
Favourite part of her job as an ice cream flavour

Frozen yogurt with a generous drizzle of Nocilla sauce. It’s the contrasting notes of tanginess and chocolate nuttiness in perfect balance — a lot like the team she enjoys working with: complementary in all the right ways, and better for it.

On what keeps her curious

People, languages, culture, and geography. How languages carry entire histories in them, how similar words show up in completely different languages and what that reveals about how cultures crossed paths. She’s fascinated by these crossings.
